Wish Coordinator

Role Overview:
The Wish Coordinator supports the Wish Manager in executing the wish-granting process. This role involves administrative tasks, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring the smooth delivery of wishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist in documenting wish details (child’s information, wish description, and journey updates) in Excel and Salesforce.
    • Maintain accurate records of all wish-related communications and transactions.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Coordinate with hospitals, doctors, and volunteers to gather information about potential wish children.
    • Support the Wish Manager in organizing wish-granting events and procuring wish items.
  • Logistics and Operations:
    • Assist in arranging logistics for wish-granting events, including venue booking, vendor coordination, and volunteer management.
    • Ensure timely delivery of wish items and follow up with vendors for invoices and payments.
  • Child and Family Engagement:
    • Act as a secondary point of contact for the child and their family, providing updates and addressing their queries.
    • Ensure the child and family feel supported and valued throughout the wish journey.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure all wish-related documentation is completed and submitted on time.
    • Assist the Wish Manager in preparing reports for the Program Head.
  • Volunteer Management:
    • Work closely with volunteers to ensure they are effectively engaged in the wish-granting process.
    • Provide volunteers with the necessary training and resources to support wish children.

Key Skills and Qualifications for Both Roles:

  • Strong empathy and emotional intelligence to work with critically ill children and their families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders (hospitals, doctors, volunteers, vendors, etc.).
  • Organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple wishes simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Salesforce (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the mission of Make a Wish Foundation India.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in any discipline; fresh graduates with internship experience welcome.
  • 1+ year in admin/coordinator roles (NGO experience preferred).
  • Organized multitasker with attention to detail.
  • Basic English + local language skills.
