Maneck Davar – CMD of Spenta Multimedia Pvt Limited India’s largest custom magazine publisher. Mr Davar has 38 years experience in print journalism and publishing having written ofr and worked with major Indian newspapers and magazines. Mr Davar is associated with many NGOs and is the Chairperson of the Kala Ghoda Association which holds the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and also the Chairman and Trustee of The Society for the Protection of Children in Western India which runs The Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Home for Children in Matunga.

Mrs. Neerja Birla is a multifaceted personality. An extremely talented person, an epitome of effortless grace and quiet strength, she strives for excellence. Mrs. Birla’s brain child, MPower the Movement is set out to bring about a positive change in attitude towards mental health. The Founder and Chairperson of the MPower Movement she has a Bachelor’s of Science Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Derby. She is very passionate about children, education and mental health.

She is actively engaged as the Chairperson in ‘The Aditya Birla World Academy’ which is ranked the 3rd best international school in Mumbai and the 6th best international school in India. She is also the founder and chairperson of ‘The Aditya Birla Integrated School’ for children with special needs and abilities.

Compassionate and caring, Mrs. Birla reaches out to the underprivileged sections of the community, endeavoring to make a qualitative difference to their lives. She also serves on the Board of Pratham. She is also involved with Muktangan and Seva Sadan. As a trustee of the Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, she leads the Mumbai Marathon Team of the Group.

A role model of young Indians, she is respected and deeply admired for her values and her vision on the role of women and in education. She has been honoured with – “Icon of Excellence Award” by FICCI-FLO – Sambhavaa; “Woman of Excellence Award” by FICCI-FLO, YFLO India – FICCI’s Ladies Wing (FICCI is the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry).

Mrs. Birla and her husband, Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, an iconic leader in India, have three children, Ananyashree (21), Aryaman Vikram (18) and Advaitesha (12).

Ritu Chhabria

Ritu Prakash Chhabria completed her education in UK. She has obtained a double Major in Economics & Marketing from Richmond College – London and also holds a masters degree in Public Relations. Her interest in art and culture prompted her to pursue a certification in Arts & Styles course at the prestigious Sotheby’s – London.

In the year 1999 she established Mukul Madhav Foundation as she felt the need to channelize the many social welfare programmes carried out by her. The Foundation has touched many lives in the areas of Healthcare, Education and Social Welfare. This apart, Mukul Madhav Foundation provides medical assistance to patients, helps students with scholarship’s for higher education and donates in cash and kind to other NGO’s who are doing commendable work in areas like Remand Homes, Leprosy Homes, Homes for the Blind, Homes for the Disabled, Homes for the Aged and children with learning disabilities.

Mrs. Chhabria has been associated with KEM Hospital, Pune since the year 2000. Through the Foundation she finances the fellowship of two medical Post-Graduate students for further studies in pediatrics at KEM and also set up Pune’s first Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in KEM Hospital and has financed 6 beds with life saving equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Working in and around the villages of Ratnagiri she saw a crying need for rural up-liftment which resulted in the established of Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya an English Medium School on the outskirts of Ratnagiri. Here the children are provided quality urban education at a nominal cost. The school boasts of computer laboratories, LCD screens, a well stocked library and a vast range of extra-curricular activities bringing the outside world to the outback.

Besides this Mrs. Chhabria has been organising free health camps biannually in the Government schools in and around Ratnagiri since 2008. On an average, 2800 students are screened by Dentists, Ophthalmic and General Physicians.

In the year 2009, The Rotary Club recognised Mrs. Chhabria for her efforts and initiatives in mitigating child mortality. She was also awarded by Ruby Hall Clinic for her dedication and outstanding contribution towards the care of cancer patients. She is closely involved with Big Ears – the hearing aid initiative at KEM Hospital and has successfully raised funds for conducting cochlear implants on a number of children. Besides this she organised an art and craft camp for children to raise funds for Vidya Jyoti School which caters to slow learners.
On the 1st of June, 2013 she was presented with the “Muktai Award” for outstanding work in the field of healthcare and education by the esteemed hands of the Ex. President of India Shrimati Pratibhatai Patil.

Her list of endeavors at working towards mitigating the pain and suffering of the under privileged has no end. She continues to strive for spreading education and providing healthcare for the less privileged members of our society and especially for the children of India – the future of our country.

Besides this Mrs. Chhabria is a proud home maker and has raised two lovely girls – Gayatri who is currently pursuing her B.B.A from Symbiosis College Pune and Hansika who is in the 9th grade at St. Mary’s School Pune. In the midst of all this activity she finds time for her hobbies like traveling, reading, music and swimming.

Colin Shah is the Managing Director of Kama Schachter Jewelry Pvt. Ltd., a position he has held since inception. Colin established Kama Jewellery in the year 1996 and was responsible for the successful joint venture with Leo Schachter in 2007 to form the new company Kama Schachter.

Hailing from a family of doctors, Colin was initiated in to the diamond trade at the age of 17.

Colin is the elected studded jewelry convener in the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India (GJEPC) and is a committee member in the Seepz Gem and Jewellery Manufacturers Association (SGJMA). He is a member of the Young President Organisation (YPO), comprising a global network of approximately 20,000 young executives in more than 100 countries and a member of the Entrepreneur Organization (EO), an organization engaging leading entrepreneurs.

To date, Colin’s efforts have been recognized by numerous organizations’ including the Government of India and the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council resulting in awards like the Largest Exporter outside Seepz for four consecutive years, the Udyog Ratna Award and Emerging SME Award.

Deepak S Bhatia

Deepak S Bhatia is the CEO with Make-A-Wish India since June 2013. He has a varied working experience of 28 years in the corporate and charity sector.

Under his able guidance, Make-A-Wish India has taken significant steps to make itself a sustainable organization. The steps include, standardizing & consolidation of its day-to-day operations, implementation of SalesForce as the CRM solution, growth in number of staff and volunteers, annual increase of 20% in number of wishes granted and wish quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance by leaps and bounds.

He has been associated with the charity sector for 14 years with charities like Taj Public Service Welfare Trust, Save The Children India and CRY. While at Taj, Deepak put together a skill development and livelihood initiative to make youth in the 26/11 terror attack disaster affected families employable in the hospitality industry. Along with the CSR team of Taj and other TATA group companies, he set up a state-of-the-art hospitality skill training institute under the PPP model at ITI Lonavla. This facility was inaugurated by the then Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Prithviraj Chauhan. Prior to that, Deepak has been in the IT industry for 14 years handling direct sales & dealer channels, in India and Middle East, with organizations like Hewlett-Packard, Acer Computers, i-flex and Apple Computers.

Deepak lives in Mumbai with his wife and two sons.
